AGS
AGSMatter-native grow hub for small indoor rooms
Story

A founder build log, not a marketing bio.

AGS exists because small-room instrumentation is still worse than it has to be. This page is the short version of why I'm building it, what's already real, and what's not real yet.

  1. Who builds AGS

One founder, one monorepo, one long winter

I'm a systems engineer who got tired of watching small-room climate controllers ship half-working stacks. AGS is what I'd hand a friend. It is built end-to-end - ESP-IDF firmware on the hub, an AGS-hosted EU backend, a Flutter app on iOS, Android, and desktop - and shipped as an appliance, not a DIY kit.

  2. Why it exists

    Small rooms deserve real instrumentation

Commercial-grade controllers exist for commercial-scale rooms. Sensor pods exist for people who only want to read. Brand controllers exist if you live inside one brand's ecosystem. Everyone else lives between plastic timers and apps that can't talk to each other. AGS is what happens when you build one honest control model for a 1.2 m tent.

  3. What is already real

24 screens, signed OTA, working PID, live IR learn

The Flutter app ships with 24 approved screenshots. Firmware OTA is signed and token-gated. Matter commissioner pairs real plugs. PID has been running against live rooms since late 2025. The AC IR learn flow captures real remote timings and fires them back from the hub.

  4. What is not real yet

The brand, the box, the certification

CE is in progress. The enclosure is still evolving. Studio-quality product photography is scheduled for the rev 0.2 milestone. Sensor-triggered IR is on the roadmap. This website, the waitlist, and the story page are the first things a buyer will see about AGS outside the code.
